1. Information We Collect

Edu Guide is designed to be used without requiring you to create an account or provide Personally Identifiable Information (PII) such as your name, email, or phone number.

• Device ID: When you submit a review or rating for a teacher/platform, we generate a random, anonymous Unique Identifier (UUID) on your device. This UUID is sent to our servers solely to prevent duplicate reviews from the same device. It is not linked to your identity.
• Search Queries: We collect anonymous search queries (such as selected country, city, and subject) to return relevant educational platforms from our database.

2. Device Permissions & Local Data

Our app requests certain device permissions to provide its core functionality. All data generated from these permissions remains locally on your device and is NEVER uploaded to our servers.

• Microphone (RECORD_AUDIO): We request microphone access to allow you to record voice notes for your study tasks. These audio recordings are saved exclusively on your local device storage.
• Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): We request this permission to send you local reminders for your scheduled study tasks.
• Alarms (USE_EXACT_ALARM): We use this permission to ensure your task reminders and custom voice alarms fire at the exact time you specified.
• Local Storage: Any tasks you create, files you attach to tasks (images, PDFs), and voice notes you record are saved locally in your device's internal storage using Web Storage and standard Android file systems. We do not sync or back up your personal tasks to any cloud server.

3. External Links

Our app contains links to external websites (e.g., clicking "Visit Original Site" for a platform). If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that site. We strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of every site you visit, as we have no control over their content or privacy practices.

4. Data Security

We value your trust in using our application. We strive to use commercially acceptable means of protecting your anonymous data (such as reviews) during transmission via secure connections (HTTPS).
